The GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY...

It was an exciting weekend of racing which featured a little bit of everything.  The team started out on Saturday for the final Peat Monster race of the '09 season in Morrison, IL.  The Paperboy placed first in a field of five open class cars.  Dan Richter got his Richter Scale back together again (it's been a tough-luck season for Dan) and he laid down two great passes and took second.

So that was all "GOOD", now it got a little "UGLY" at the Peat Monster when Chad Kittikind's car "Feeling Lucky" was any thing but.  The car spun the front right tire off the rim and ended up rolling into the fence.  Chad's driver was a little shaken up, but not injured in the wreck...

The team packed up and headed to Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Iowa, where things got "BAD".  The first pass in the Paddle tire class was good enough for a second place finish behind Cody Rossman and his "Penny Pusher".  During the Cut tire class, the Paperboy lost a rear tire when all five studs sheared off,  and luckily Paul was able to bring it to a stop without rolling over.  Next up was Richter, who got tossed sideways on the rough track and took out the timing lights.  Rick Holmes won the Cut class with a great run in Wild Cherry, followed by Penny Pusher.   Byron Tinky finished third in "Bad Habit".
