Paperboy wins at Palo

It was a nice day for racing in Palo, Iowa—the fans came out like crazy for some good mud racing.  They had some timing issues and some guys had to make extra passes.  Scott's first pass got no time in the paddle class and he was able to cool down and take another run at the end of the class to win with a 2.741 for a very slow 200' track.  Shawn Barber, who just got his engine put back together took second with Back-n-Black,and Rick Holmes finished third in Wild Cherry.

Cut tires had even more timing troubles...Rick Holmes won cuts with a great pass of 2.58 and because of the troubles with the lights, Paperboy was able to hang on to second with a 3.128.  Paul made a nice recovery on this run, keeping it from rolling after hitting a major rut.  Shawn Barber made an awesome pass, probably would have won the class, but recorded no time.  He did not want to hurt his new motor and there was not enough time for him to cool down, so he opted out of the pass.

We'd like to thank Rick Holmes and crew for a great race and another great job promoting the event.  It is always nice to have such great fans!  We know he will have the timing issues figured out for next year!
